Dear Parents, Guardians and Students:
We are committed and determined to ensuring student safety and protecting our students at Forest Hills High School. It is for this reason that we are urgently requesting that you speak to your child about our cell phone policy:
FOREST HILLS HIGH SCHOOL CELL PHONE POLICY
If you bring a cell phone or other electronic devices to school, they cannot be used in school and must be turned off and properly secured. Students MAY NOT use their cell phones in the halls or class unless instructed by the classroom teacher for educational purposes. In the event of an emergency, a student can go to the following offices to seek permission from a school official: 105,112, 114, 141, 144, 145, 160, 161, 167, 241, 258, 262, 312, 341, and 381.
Chancellor’s Regulation A-413 defines some parameters to cell phones in school. The above school policy is the policy for Forest Hills High School.
If a student is in violation of this policy the following consequences may be enforced:
Cell phones, I-Pods, and ALL electronic devices used in violation, may be confiscated and returned only to parents on FRIDAYS between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:00PM in room 141.
Second time offenders will not have their cell phone or electronic device returned until JUNE.
