Congratulations to the following Students (5/16/19)

 

Congratulations to Huda Rahman, Ariana Ahmed, and Aaliyah Willis on being awarded the Albert Shanker College Scholarship Fund with the United Federation of Teachers.



Essay Contest Winner (4/30/19)

 

Congratulations to Lola Gbemi for winning the Heidi Harrison Chain's 112 Precinct Community Council diversity essay contest on "We are one New York".



​​​​NYCSEF Science Research Competition

 

The awards ceremony for the New York City Science and Engineering Fair concluded last week. Two of our Forest Hills students, Victoria Dyal and Pasang Lama, were awarded second place in their category (Behavioral- Sociology and Psychology). This was the largest category by far this year. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we are all incredibly proud of these two students and all the hard work they put into earning this achievement. Great work Victoria and Pasang!



Congratulations to our Robotics Teams (2/28/19)

 

Forest Hills' three robotics teams competed at The Dalton School on Saturday, February 16th at the NYC Regionals Super-Qualifiers against the top 24 teams from the previous competitions. All three teams worked hard to overcome last-minute challenges that came up and did a wonderful job. Artificial Intelligence will be advancing to the NYC Championships which will be on March 10th at Townsend Harris.



Congratulations to Amaya Adu (2/27/19)

 

Congratulations to Freshman student, Amaya Adu, who won at the semi-finals Shakespeare Monologue Competition at The English Speaking Union on February 25th, 2019.  She Represented our school against other borough High Schools.  She will now be moving on to the finals on March 7th.     She recited a Shakespeare Monologue, a sonnet, and now will also be doing a cold reading.  Break a Leg 



Science Olympiad Team wins at NYC Regional

 

Our team competed at MIT in Boston on 1/12/19.  We also competed at the NYC Regionals on 2/2/19.  We won 4 medals and ranked 4th place in High Schools for Queens and Brooklyn overall. 



Forest Hills HS Students win NYC Hackathon

 

We won 1st place overall for Protect the Earth Coalition Challenge on 2/6/19.  Congratulations to Ricky Lu, Xinyi Mo, Caozimo Chen, and Walid Khan 



Robotics Team Compete at Super Qualifiers

 

Roborangers, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybernetics will compete at Dalton School at Super Qualifiers on Saturday 2/16.   All parents are welcome to attend.  Spectator Friendly event.

Academy of Public Service

 

Congratulations to the students at Forest Hills High School for being the top collecting school in Queens for the Kids Can Help Competition.  Your total number of pounds was an amazing 4,000 lbs. We are so grateful for your support of the Daily News Food Drive and City Harvest!
