Mrs. Martina Grant has been a member of the Social Studies Department at Forest Hills High School for over 17 years. She is presently teaching 10th Grade Global History and Geography, she is the Senior Advisor and College Now Assistant Coordinator.
Over the past 17 years she has been actively involved in many curriculum writing projects with the American Federation of Teachers and has presented at International Teacher Workshops in Russia, South Africa and Northern Ireland. She was the teacher advisor for Northern Ireland as part of the Civic Voices International Memory Bank Project through the AFT and students from the Academy of Public Service were actively involved in this project. She was also part of online curriculum modelling on the teaching of the Holocaust through literature as part of the Annenburg Foundation. She was also a Master Teacher writing curriculum and organizing and presenting at professional development workshops through the Ford Foundation's Difficult Dialogue grants to the America and the Middle East project at Queens College. In addition, Mrs. Grant has taught the Literacy & Propaganda class for the LaGuardia Community College's College Now program hosted at Forest Hills High School.
Mrs. Grant is also Senior Advisor at Forest Hills High School. In this position she works with the members of the senior class to organize all activities related to their Senior year at Forest Hills High School.
